Join the largest team at Newberry Opera House!
More than 100 active volunteers donate thousands of hours each season to support the Opera House and its mission to enhance the economic and cultural development of Newberry County and the Midlands through the window of the arts in concert with educational opportunities for all. They play a very special role and are essential to the overall success of the organization, in particular by helping to provide the highest quality of experiences for all of our guests.
We’re Looking For Individuals Who…
- Are enthusiastic, proactive, and punctual
- Work collaboratively with others
- Love the performing arts, helping others, and the community
- Who can attend a training session once per year
You’ve Got What It Takes!
- 15 Years of Age or older
- Concession workers must complete Alcohol Server Training
- All show night volunteers must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Attend a Training Session usually held at the beginning of the season
- Pass a SLED background check
- Minimal annual service – only 2 per month minimum
