Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue brings the unmistakable sound of New Orleans to the stage through a high energy mix of funk, soul, R&B, jazz, rock, and brass band traditions. Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty began performing at just four years old and was leading his own brass band by six before joining Lenny Kravitz’s band as a teenager. Since then, the GRAMMY nominated artist has become an internationally celebrated performer, collaborating with artists across genres including Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters, Zac Brown, Ringo Starr, and many more.

 

Known for his magnetic stage presence and explosive live performances, Trombone Shorty leads Orleans Avenue with a sound that blends brass band beats, rock energy, improvisation, and the rhythms of his New Orleans roots. His 2022 album Lifted captures the power of the live experience while bringing together funk, soul, R&B, and psychedelic rock, with special guests including Gary Clark Jr. and Lauren Daigle. Beyond the stage, Trombone Shorty continues to support the next generation of musicians through the Trombone Shorty Foundation and Music Academy, helping preserve New Orleans musical traditions while inspiring young artists.
