A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters” is a tender, tragic, comical, and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends. “Love Letters” was first performed on Broadway from 1989 to 1990 with a rotating cast starring everyone from Kathleen Turner to Christopher Reeves.

This beloved play  tells the story of two wealthy childhood friends and eventually love interests, Andrew Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, who wrote a series of letters to each other over a 50-year span. The play begins in their childhoods in which they appear destined to fall in love, only to have distance, different careers and the marriage of Melissa get in the way during their college and young adult years. Following their lives through this 50-year span, the characters remain each other's most trusted confidant.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see award winners Barbara Eden & Barry Bostwick take on these iconic roles.
