Jazz Appreciation Month (fondly known as "JAM") was created at the Smithsonian museum in 2001 to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary heritage and history of jazz for the entire month of April.  JAM is intended to stimulate and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz - to study the music, attend concerts, listen to jazz on radio and recordings, read books about jazz, and more.

Event Details

The “ColaJazz Little Big Band: The Band That Could!" is a 10-piece ensemble presenting a wide variety of large ensemble music from Big Band repertoire to the classic small group sound and is primarily an educational outreach vehicle presenting “edutainment” events for all ages.

The ColaJazz Foundation is dedicated to grow, support and promote jazz in the Midlands through events, education, recordings, resources and advocacy in order to create a thriving culturally rich community.
