Event Details

Long before “Tie a Yellow Ribbon (Around the Old Oak Tree)” was Nancy Reagan’s favorite song, Tony Orlando was hired by Dan Kirshner as a Brill Building songwriter. Clive Davis would recognize his talent and hire him at Columbia where he would become VP of Columbia/CBS Music signing artists such as Barry Manilow and working with artist like James Taylor and The Grateful Dead.

Then, Orlando, who had help record demos for years decided to record under the name "Dawn" and the rest is history. Orlando has sold millions of records, released many top 40 hits, including 5 number one hits.

**Please note that The Righteous Brothers, who were originally to play on June 5, 2020 had to cancel their visit to Newberry in June. We hope to have them back in the future.**
