Event Details

McClinton’s musical career began in the late 50s, performing as a backup artist for many other musicians, most notably The Beatles,  but he didn’t become a solo artist for two decades.  His third album Victim of Life’s Circumstances laid the groundwork for his stellar career. After the release of McClinton’s first career Top Ten hit “Good Man, Good Woman” in 1981, Delbert McClinton’s career took off. Over 50 years later, Delbert McClinton has released 27 studio albums, is still touring and producing music at the age of 80, and his 2020 album “Tall, Dark & Handsome” gave him his fourth Grammy® win. Don’t miss the chance to hear popular songs such as “Two More Bottles of Wine,” “Giving It Up for Your Love,” “Every Time I Roll the Dice,” “Honky Tonkin’ (I Guess I Done Me Some)”, “Maybe Someday Baby,” and many more when Delbert McClinton performs live at the Newberry Opera House.
