A Steinway Artist, Alan Chow has performed to critical acclaim at such major venues as New York’s Lincoln Center and Chicago’s Symphony Center, and with orchestras in the United States and Asia. This solo piano concert is presented as part of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association's 59th Annual Conference.

Event Details

A Steinway Artist, Alan Chow has performed to critical acclaim at such major venues as New York’s Lincoln Center and Chicago’s Symphony Center, and with orchestras in the United States, Asia and in Europe. 

Competition honors include Mr. Chow winning First Prize at the Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the Silver Medal and Audience Favorite Prize at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. Other awards include First Prizes in the UCLA International Piano Competition and the Palm Beach Invitational International Piano Competition.

As a chamber musician, Mr. Chow has collaborated with the America, Pacifica, Miami and Escher String Quartets and been a guest artist at numerous festivals. He also has given master classes throughout North America, Europe and Asia at conservatories, universities, and summer festivals and is active as a juror for many piano competitions in the US, as well as in China and Singapore. Mr. Chow currently teaches at the Eastman School of Music.

This solo piano concert is presented as part of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association's 59th Annual Conference.
