Description

One of the most sought-after musicians in the southeast, Darius Starks is a professional saxophonist, delivering tranquil Contemporary Jazz to the music scene. A native of Irmo, South Carolina, Darius is a graduate of Newberry College where he studied Music and concentrated his studies in Jazz. For more than 18 years, Darius Starks has been sharing exhilarating music on a national scale. Darius developed his love and passion for music given the inspiration of his mother, Artena Starks, a pianist and choir director. Developing a transcending and mesmerizing sound, Darius has earned numerous awards and recognitions including The Most Valuable Player with the Newberry College Big Band and The Outstanding Soloist Award at The New Orleans Jazz Festival.

Steven Galloway is a Greenville, SC based, smooth Jazz saxophonist has an impeccable degree — specifically a music degree from Lander University where he studied under Columbia Jazz mainstay Robert A. Gardiner, whom he’ll still sit in with on occasion when passing through Columbia. For his music performance degree, Galloway said Gardiner would have him transcribe solos from the likes of Miles Davis and other Jazz greats. However, Steven enjoys listening to a variety of music, from Grover Washington Jr., to Stevie Wonder and even Drake. Among his musical influences are, Charlie Parker, Hank Mobley, Thelonious Monk, Roberta Flack, Jim Snidero, Jerry Bergonzi, to name a few.

David Glymph native of Columbia, South Carolina.  Glymph is one of the premier saxophonist bringing styles of Boney James to Maceo Parker. A big influence was his dad that kept an enormous amount of jazz tapes, cds and even records. All genres of music was played throughout the house but jazz seemed to spark his interest right away. David would convey his lessons from music from Grover Washington  Jr., Charlie Parker, Dave Koz, and many more.
