Business Manager / Bookkeeper
The Newberry Opera House is seeking an experienced Business Manager/Bookkeeper to manage the day to day accounting and finance requirements of the Opera House as well as management of the daily business functions of the organization. The individual must be a self-starter who exhibits excellent organizational skills and must be proficient in QuickBooks and Excel. Working in conjunction with the Executive Director, the Opera House Staff, and the Newberry Opera House Foundation Board, the Business Manager/Bookkeeper must be a self-reliant professional with a strong knowledge of accepted accounting principles and with the ability to generate and present monthly financial statements to the Newberry Opera House Foundation Board. The candidate will need management skills and ability to multitask between finance and operations need. Confidentiality is a must.
Requirements include an associate degree in accounting or higher and/or 2 to 3 years bookkeeping experience (with references provided). A degree in Business Management with bookkeeping experience is also acceptable. The position is full time with PTO and benefits. Pay is commensurate with experience.
