Singer/songwriter
Robert Earl Keen has built has reputation as the nation's finest musical
storyteller. Keen has been performing since 1981, paving the road
for future generations of songwriters and performers. "He
paints musical portraits that are as vivid as sunsets over the great
Southwest and stories that are as compelling and timeless as Cormac
McCarthy novels." Infused with insight and humor, Keen's songs
give new meaning each time they're listened to. Artists such as
George Strait, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Lyle Lovett and the Dixie
Chicks have chosen to record his songs over the years. Keen
says, "I'm an OK singer and an OK player and I'm an OK melody
guy when it comes to making up a song, but I feel like my gift is my
lyrics. They have always come easily for me and I've enjoyed
it." His newest album "Ready for Confetti" has been
called one of the finest of his career. |

$35.00 |
| |
After
more than four decades of making music, McClinton is breathing freely with
the confidence and energy of an artist who knows that he has mastered his
game. Still basking in the glow of a new Grammy Award, he has
followed up what "The Wall Street Journal" declared his
"best recording ever" - "2001's Nothing Personal" -
with a set that displays even greater muscle, smarts, charm and
soul. A listen to the 12 tracks on Delbert's new album "Room To
Breathe" handily backs the contention that even after enjoying the
best year of his long career, McClinton is now poised to triumph
further. From the swampy and rollicking opening strains of Same
Kinda Crazy to the album's closing jump blues visit to New York
City, "Room to Breathe" plays like the night of your life in
God's own roadhouse. |
