This singer, mandolinist, and former child prodigy signed with the Rounder label at age 13. All grown up she now counts Bela Fleck and Alison Krauss amongst her fans. Sierra Hull distinguished herself by becoming the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. “She plays the mandolin with a degree of refined elegance and freedom that few have achieved. And, now her vocals and songwriting have matured to the level of her virtuosity," says Bela Fleck, the genre-leaping banjo master who produced "Weighted Mind," Sierra's latest album. Hull is back and better than ever at the Newberry Opera House, this holiday season with a show filled with Sierra's best loved work plus holiday classics.
