Event Details

A guitar and piano prodigy, award-winning songwriter, producer, and artist Mac McAnally first started performing at age 13. From Belmont, Mississippi, McAnally dropped out of high school and moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to work in the music recording industry. After working as a singer/songwriter for several years, producers Terry Woodford and Clayton Ivey heard his material and encouraged McAnally to record some of his own original songs. The risk paid off and McAnally released his first solo album in 1977, in which the song “It's a Crazy World” propelled him into the spotlight.

McAnally has spent many years as a star behind the scenes as a session musician, a band leader for Jimmy Buffett, and as a producer of albums for artists like Sawyer Brown. A member of Nashville’s Songwriters Hall of Fame, McAnally is the songwriter behind so many of Country’s hits from Alabama’s “Old Flame” to Kenny Chesney’s  “Where I Come From.” His duet with Chesney “Down the Road” finally got him to the top of the charts as a singer and a Grammy® nominee.  Enjoy music from one of the most talented singer-songwriters in the industry today.
