| Maybin House was built by Albert Maybin in
1871. The home was purchased by Tench Poole in 1886 and later renovated by architect
C. C. Davis, whose work can be found in many of Newberry's older homes. The house
remained in the Poole family for over 100 years. |

In 1997 the house was opened as a
Bed & Breakfast Inn. Maybin House
is convenient to Main Street, Newberry College, and only six blocks from the historic and
beautifully restored 1882 Newberry Opera House. |

Smoking is not permitted inside the Inn. but is welcome on the porches.

| From Interstate 26, exit 76 to
Newberry. At Highway 76 (first light) turn right. After about three blocks,
turn left at Harrington Street and proceed though four way stop at Glenn Street.
Maybin House is located on the right corner of Harrington Street and Pool Drive. |
